We did it at the 1st Changi Dash!

Here's a short post to really thanks all who have see us through this, it will never be possible without all of you :)

THANK YOU PEOPLE, we are truely blessed!

We really want to thank Changi Airport Group for having us in their 1st Changi Dash! All of them for their planning and organising, i am sure that all participants have lots of fun! We even got to know so many facilities we never knew it exist. & kuddos to making many new friends at the race! :)

Growing up.

Met up with 2 of my friends yesterday and had a good dinner + catch up.
Did i mentioned about the cheap food at Taste of Thailand 泰國小食? you should really check it out, i love the Tomyam soup & Pineapple rice there! :D i see many people ordering the fried fish too!
me & TAN Z Y always go for the small portion for all the food we order, their serving is very generous so enough :D

the picture does not do any justice to the food, would recommend for a try for the cheap price! i remembered their tom yam soup is $4 & pineapple rice $3 only for the small portion! On top of it, they always like to give like a dollar discount at the final bill.

Alright backed to the topic, i had to really say even since i started working, i really cherish meet up like this. So people who are still studying, enjoy the moment to the fullest, you will miss it dearly thereafter.
Thats when everyone around you get busy into their adult-hood, serious topic like house, marriage, kids starts kicking in.

My secondary school life was really fun & super memorable, everyday after school was about training for volleyball and running. And i especially miss the "recess time" where we will always rush to finish our food so that we have time for play/chat!

I remembered my group have this "birthday sabo" where we really make the birthday girl die, literally. During one of my birthday, this group of friend threw my school shoe from level 3 into the fish pond :O so very paiseh to retrieve it thereafter, yes shoeless for the day. I can't even remember how they manage to remove it from my foot!

AND SO MUCH MORE! but sadly friends grow up and some just grow apart.
I am very amazed by how people grow or changes, good and bad. I always remind myself not too be too judgemental but some action by my used to be close friend never fails to make me go speechless.

I guess thats just life and growing up.

Changi Dash - Part 1

We participated in the 1st Changi Dash on 22nd September 2012. The dash was so fun and tiring for both me and Tan Z Y.

Changi Airport first posted on their facebook page to encourage fans to sign up for this event, thereafter 20 individual will be picked randomly and from the point they informed us, we have 24hrs to find a partner and confirmed our participation. :) Participant have own a facebook & twitter account.

Was telling TAN Z Y how much i want to go for this and was so happy to receive Eugene's email informing me i was picked. *Super excited !

This event see 20 teams of 2 participating, and the grand price was $5000 worth of Changi voucher and 1 pair of Silkair ticket to ANY destination. I keep telling TAN Z Y and friends it was a pair of ticket to Hanoi, dont know why i have this impression but no it's for ANY destination!

Many have asked what is a "Changi Dash", here's what we would explain. Its an amazing race style of game all around Changi - including all the Terminal 1, 2 & 3 + Budget Terminal :O you can imaginng how much we run now! We only expect them to let us run around Terminal 3 because that was the meeting point for all the 20 teams. Too naive of us :P

Starting the race at 10am, that is Eugene giving us the briefing.

Team 8, a good number to start the race!

You can see that the only time we get to rest was during the skytrain ride from one terminal to the other or when we are solving the clue, rest of the time was just running/DASHING !

A total of 10 challenges have to be complete at all 10 stations. For each challenge you complete at that particular station, a clue will be given to you, you have to solve it before knowing where is the next station.
Apart form these, they give us 5 set of code breaker that will help us decode the clue.

I remember one of the clue was to decode the word using code breaker. After decoding it, we have to rearrange the word and we get "BAHASA MELAYU" and right below it was a picture of sweet & love.

This was the first clue given so it took us a while to react, we manage to figure out it was to translate "SWEET LOVE into BAHASA MELAYU" which give you Chinta Manis - a restaurant/cafe at Terminal 2. i didnt know its existance and the meaning till that very day!

This is another one of the clue we decode and it call us to go to DAISY. so, not only we have to know the place at Changi well , we need to know some of their structure!

the station master asking us to choose a country flag - representing non-veg & veg food.

& the next challenge was to . . .

finish a set of food at one of the Japanese restaurant - SABOTEN. Totally not what we expected, it's more like a benefit than challenge LOL. so thoughtful of them right!

You can imagine how happy TAN Z Y was because we didnt have breakfast. We swallow the food literally HAHA!

Other challenges includes these;

finding the promotional billboard stating "You shop, we absord!",one member have to take a photo with it and post it on twitter! Tan Z Y with Aaron :)

finding this 3D place and taking a photo with one member in it. Honestly, this is a very picture worthy spot & it's still there *gogo!
TAN Z Y ran there himself as i was already half dead HAHA. *Apologies to the people inside, i replace them with stickers :X

finding the Silkair check-in counter and both member must be in the picture. This was another photo being posted to FB :)

Both member must try the ARCHERY and one of us must hit the yellow spot. We both did :P ok lar, because the distance was near and there was people teaching us how to do :D

We have to find the price of 4 items in the whole of Planet Traveller. Photo of the item was given, the picture only show part of the item like it's logo, sentence or even just the owl's eye.
There was this book just right in front of us, but we keep missing it. Reason being the picture given to us, only bare the sentence of the book. 0.0 I guessed the station master really vomit blood LOL.

There was also 2 challenge where only one of us can do it, have to decide before the challenge was given to us! There was one where it say who have more patience and TAN Z Y just say he will do it, tsk why like that haha!

This was the single challenge that require patient, which TAN Z Y take it on. He say it was tough, its about sorting A-Z country that Silkair fly to.
My individual challenge was to find the right perfum, a sample smell was give to us, so yes testing on the sense of smell and the hint was "Scent of a rich man".

Here's the first 10 team who completed the race and we will be seeing them in the finals that will be held on 13th October 2012. Me and Tan Z Y was glad to be one of the 10 teams, we completed 6th that day using a total of about 4hrs before deducting all the likes and retweet.

Each LIKES on our facebook photo and RETWEETS in our twitter will help us reduce the time by 10seconds, which will really help alot in the coming final! We will be posting photo/retweet again during final, so please give us your support ok!

Sixpeg's giveaway!

Guinness Arthur's Day Concert !

Yesterday, me and Tan Z Y have the chance to go for the 1st Guinness Arthur's Day concert in Singapore. Thanks to Mint's giveaway! :)

The concert start from 5.50pm all the way till 11pm! Due to the company's active day, we was only able to reach there at 8pm :( Despite missing the first part of the concert, we enjoyed the remaining 3 hrs listening to DingDang, Gary Cao and Paul Wong, all so while standing! Totally worth it because we will quite near to them :D

No picture because Tan Z Y dont want to take, he want to listen only! :X

seriously amazed by 丁噹 the most, even Tan Z Y say she sing better than us listening to audio. And for those who are interested to hear her live, she mentioned that she will be holding her concert this coming 5th Jan 2013 in Singapore! Keep a look out on this! :)

we all have up and down in life, it really matters how we react to them and overcome the latter. I have to constantly remind myself everyday is a new start! August is coming soon, i will receive good news on result *pray and by October, everything will be different.

I am really looking forward to my plans and hoping that everything goes well. for sure, i will work really hard by then.

i might be afraid of uncertainty, failure and felt lost. But i would only tell myself to work really hard.

1st half of 2012!

Havent been updating for ages, i was reading through my archive and decided to do blog an entry! Honestly, i enjoyed reading back on my old post and see how much has change. It can be quite amazing and funny :)
so here i am to update on my first half of 2012, a quick post on the on-going!

January;

We have our family day at sentosa and our friend Isaac told this photo for us, which turn out very nice :D but apart from this, our family day was nothing much. :X


February;

Had a gathering with ex-department, its always good to catch up! :)

looked really short here :( LOL.

hope everything's well for all of them, although some have left or change dept. but for those remaining, may the calls be good to them! :) been there, done that. it was never easy dealing with people and especially over the phone. & people are so much more daring to scold over the phone, phone-warriors!

also have our Bi-annual Revenue Games! We got to travel to Sabah this time round! it was fun with the big group of us, the company was really important when it come to such trip, RIGHT?!

Opening dinner on the 1st day there, yes all of us have to wear the standard polo t-shirt. Side note: hate wearing jeans, insecurity with my height and I only have like 2 jeans in my entire wardobe.

2nd day we have a fews sport on-going, i think in total we have 13 different sports played in 2 days. Played netball & basketball on that day, these are my great company for the trip!

3rd day was for volleyball :) we spent night time in hotel room playing different games.

All in all, i enjoyed myself there. I must agree it's quite tiring and auntie red wasn't being nice for visiting during this short trip -.- but still, had fun and glad that we won those games! *A proper post on Revenue Game some day, tons of photos!


March;

Our senior, Edmund, get a mini prize presentation for the Most Improved Player and Best New Comer just right after RG. Congrats to Tingting & Xuwen for having the new mini volleyball :) I think it's simple things like that that keep the team going and bonded :)

& Patrick invited us over to play with baby xavier! irresistibly cute please!
